Someone was asking about a composer they heard on the radio whose name
sounded like "Varese"...  this has to be the Hungarian Sandor Veress I
think (teacher of Heinz Holliger).  IIRC there was a very interesting
review of a new CD of his music in one of the last two issues of Fanfare
(speaking of which, I'm getting that only-a-week-and-a-half-til-new-
issue-of-Fanfare antsy feeling as usual!)
