Don't knock melody and entertainment. They reign supreme with most music
listeners. What's the typical listener of classical music doing in that
world? Maybe listening to one or two hours of it per week, buying no more
than a handful of discs per year, and attending concerts to have a fine
evening of entertainment. These are casual listeners and fans; melody and
entertainment are their addiction.

List members are atypical, unusual, highly distinctive, and very
independent minded. You can't get a good handle on the classical music
public by looking at us.
