No. But then, it wouldn't make any difference to me if I found out that JS
Bach was actually an Icelandic female impersonator of the 15th century.
(Yeah, I know, this secret is actually common knowledge.) The non-musical
"specifics" of a composer are of interest to me only in so far as I have an
extra-musical interest in the composer's culture. But why should it matter
if Tailleferre's music was composed by a woman? The music isn't
gender-specific.
By the way, I forgot to mention one of my favorite 20th century composers
earlier, when we considering women-as-composers: Jean Coulthard.
