Hello All,

I was just rooting through articles and such in order to find out when the
Russell & Erwin Hardware Co. started up. I have refered to the reports by
Debi Hacker-Norton & Michael Trinkley, but unless I missed it I didn't find
what I was looking for.
I am in the process of dating the artifact assemblege from a cemetery that
is though to have operated between 1848 and 1864, and several of the parts
I have match items shown in the catalog. The problem is of course that the
catalog reprinted in 1980 is for the year 1865. Unfortunately after the
time frame that historical documents from the mining company suggest it was
in use.
Anyone out there know when the company was started? Thanks in advance for
any resource and/or suggestions.

Yours,

Michael LaRonge
