Regarding Horseshoes, there is a brief but acurate discription of the
advent of machine made horseshoes in Jeannett Lasansky's "To Draw, Upset
and Weld: The Work of the Pennsylvania Blacksmith 1742-1935", Keystone
Books, Lewisberg, PA, 1980, p.13.
There is also a book called, The Whole Horse Catalog by S. D. Price, Simon
and Schuster, NY, 1977.
Hope this is of some help.
