I recovered a metal artifact from a mid-1800's site with a hand-dug well.
The site was altered about 15 years ago when the owner used his tractor to
fill in the well.  The object was recovered in the first 20 cm level.

Anyone want to help with identifying it and its use/function/age?  Please
