Is it really that much? I've only seen two single discs that were as
expensive as that - one was Rosalyn Tureck's Goldberg variations on VAI,
the other was Furtwangler's 1954 Beethoven 9th on Tahra. Prices must be
even worse in Britain than they are here. I can only be thankful that I
have access to a reasonably well-stocked public library (even though it
extracts 1$ from me per CD, for a one week loan, without the possibility
of renewal and with draconian overdue charges).
