Well, maybe not _any_... His 8th with the MPO was an incomparable
revelation to me, but I was _comparatively_ disappointed with his account
of the 5th. Plus, the 8th has the virtue of a full 15 sec. stunned
silence before the applause sets in (which the producers, annoyingly,
decided to put onto the first and last tracks for the entire cycle). I
don't know his 7th myself. Celi has been said to have been a bit uneven
in his performances, having his unrivalled good days and his bad days -
but nevertheless, Bruckner is indeed an excellent way to explore his
(involuntary) legacy.
