The most interesting video version I've seen of the Britten was made by Sir
Malcolm Sargent with the London Symphony Orchestra in 1947.  He provides a
fine introduction, conducts, and serves as narrator.  It's in b&w, runs
20:00, and was (for a time) commercially available through the Crown Films
Unit of the UK.  We have it at Stanford.

I understand that there was a video release of the Sean Connery version,
but have not acquired nor seen this.

Tower Classics in Berkeley carries the largest supply of videos, LDs, and
DVDs I have seen on the west coast, and would be a good place to start.
