Hello All,

Although Varroa Destructor and varroa jacobsoni can't interbreed I
am told the Korean/Russian haplotype and the Japan/Thailand haplotype of
varroa destructor can breed so one has to wonder what type of offspring
might be produced. I guess we will found out.
I am also told that since varroa destructor jumped from cerana to meliferia
when put back with cerana again varroa destructor can't reproduce. Could
this be a clue to unlocking a weakness in varroa destructor reproduction?
