>I have in my whole time as a beekeeper (since 1970) used open buttons in my
hives all the time. This to avoid moisture. And I have always no loose
because of this. Most of the time here the winter is not that cold, but
sometimes it gos below -10 degrees celcius.
If I am correct, this means 22º farenheit. Here we go _much_ lower. I
recall -8º last winter. Is it still safe to do this? I have only two hives
& wouldn't want to freeze my little ladies. Anyone in cold country tried
this? Linda in Ohio.
