The Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum in Southern Maryland seeks
applicants for the position of Archaeological Field Crew for a Phase I
shovel test pit survey of a creek shoreline in historic Southern Maryland.
The area is rich in prehistoric and historical sites. The successful
applicant must be willing to work through dense underbrush in the heat of a
Southern Maryland summer. Duties include the cleaning and cataloging of the
artifacts in the Maryland Archaeological Conservation Laboratory. The
position will begin at the end of July and last until November, 1999.
Hourly rate is $9.53. This is an unclassified state contractual position
