A friend who is an amateur pianist of some skill has just purchased a
splendid new piano. Now, wanting to use his instrument, he has asked if
I know any tips and/or techniques (or books on the subject) to help him
memorize. He claims that he can play a piece hundreds of times with the
music but is unable to play it if the music is taken away.

Any suggestions?
