It's most interesting to hear that Debussy thought so.  I always felt that
his works were formally convincing, with a clear 'point', as Rachmaninoff
said.  However, my requirements aren't very sophisticated in that regard.
On the other hand, hasn't there been research that discovered Golden Means
and all sorts of fancy proportions in Debussy's music - or is all that just
humbug?
