The whole Stanford symphony cycle is very attractive, although the 1st is
a bit too long. I agree with Mimi that the 4th is the best of them.
One of his Irish rhapsodies is subtitled The Fisherman of Loch Neagh and
What He Saw, a highly exhilarating piece! I know where Loch Neagh is even
if I'm not sure how to pronounce it, but the CD notes say precisely nothing
about *what* the fisherman saw. Does anyone know?
