I was giving some thought to the programming details provided by Lloyd.
He said he got some feedback that programming of that sort is better than
nothing. I know that, for me, it would be nothing. That's because it's
a "top 40" approach all the way. What do pop fans want? A continuous
rehashing of their favorite songs.
I assume this approach works with classical music stations as well. What
I wonder about is this - whos's listening to these stations? Yes, I know
it's novices and casual listeners. But, is there something common deep
within them that leads to the same radio station?
I know people that don't like any music at all; it's totally an assault to
their ears. There are also a few folks who don't respond to violence in an
excited way. Such a varied species.
