WMAL is now mostly talk radio with Dr Laura, Rush Limbaugh and other
assorted luminaries.  When we moved here in the 70s there was a wonderful
morning show, Harden and Weraver, but Harden died and the show did too.

The univerity station is part of COlumia College in Takoma Park and 2
years ago it abandoned classical music for religious music (the college
is a Protestant religish college).  Now for music we have in addition to
WGMS as Walter said, WETA in Washington and WBJC in Baltimore.  WBJC plays
classical music continuoiusly except for Sunday evening when they have a
wonderful medical show called SUnday Rounds for 3 hours, and then a
financial show.

Johns Hopkins in Balitmore operates WJHU which is mostly classical, but the
range is so poor I can't pick up the station very often.
