As to Clarke- her cello sonata is an arrangement of her viola sonata, to
my knowledge.

By the way, I let a misprint get through in my post ...  shouldn't be hard
to catch:)...  merely reverses my entire meaning.

Anyhow, I'm glad Mr. Schwartz and I agree on the essentials.  As to Lees,
I hope someone will reissue his 2nd and 3rd symphonies, and perhaps record
his first and fifth (Kalmar Nyckel).  Would be nice.  In the meanwhile,
Naxos is to be commended.  As they are for the upcoming release (whether
on Naxos or Marco Polo) of Creston's first symphony...  a world premiere
recording, and much-awaited.  (I hope Olympia will record Vainberg's first
symphony, which received, and deserved, Shostakovich's commendations.  4
movements- g/D/B-flat/g- and if the many skims I've given its score are any
indication, for an op. 10 it is superb Olympia has now recorded sym.  2,
so who knows...)
