Criado Boado, Jarl Nordbladh.
The book aims at introducing a set of new ideas to theoretical archaeology,
with a lot of emphasis on discussion: every chapter is followed by a
detailed commentary. With authors from around the world and especially from
Scandinavia, the book reflects current trends towards a new geography of
archaeological theory.
In addition, the volume aims at a new way of publishing that is affordable
to anyone (with further student reductions), thanks to a non-profit-making
new publisher based in Sweden. Bricoleur Press is different from the
well-known big publishing houses in many ways: it will not make profits out
of academic publishing; its books aim for academic quality alone and are
not geared towards reaching profitable student markets; it prefers to sell
directly to customers worldwide and thus cut out overheads and further
profits of middle-persons; it is owned and managed entirely by
archaeologists themselves. This is why Bricoleur Press hopes that you won't
mind seeing the present advertisement on this discussion group!
The book is available directly from Bricoleur Press, Staviksvägen 2, 437 92
Lindome, Sweden. Prices are approximately £16 (Europe) and $27 (outside
Europe), including postage and packing, and with significant further
discounts for students.
The ideal Christmas present!
A necessity for your library!
