Well, about Maria Joao Pires,i am completely agree with you,but not only
in The direction,or Rythmitc sense, but in the sensibility, and many other
things which that pianist seems to don't understand.I saw in a video to
her playing the K457 piano concerto. It was really unbeliavable. The ugliest
performance of my whole life. The second movement sounded as "Allegretto con
Motto",etc. For my personal taste, she is among the worst pianists of this
times. Concerning Perahia,he is a fine pianist, but always his playing
from the CD sounds better than his live performance.Anyway he is not
the kind of pianists i like most, but despite of it, he is very fine.
Concerning The C minor fantasy, one of the best versions for my taste,is
Alicia De la Rocha recording. Her Mozart is wonderful .Ironically,i think
she plays Mozart better than the Spanish Composers, were i think she is
only good,but no more. Regards.
