Felix's view surprises me a little.  I've heard Pires in Mozart, Bach,
Schubert, and Chopin.  I don't have any significant complaints and tend
to view her as a "mainstream" interpreter - not the best in any works but
better than most.  Actually, I prefer her older Mozart recording on Denon
than her more recent Mozart cd's for DG.
