Not really. But, I have heard it said that a graduate music student could
reel off a Mozart symphony or Haydn symphony come to that. In fact, the
debacle of the "found" lost Haydn Sonatas a few years ago was caused when
someone produced comtemporary works in the period style.
Clearly, also, Micheal Haydn was able to produce a "Mozart" Symphony too.
Number 37 wasn't it?
