Jordan Schweigel wrote ate the end of his Wagner piece:

I think the leader of the Tel Aviv orchestra got it right a few years ago
when they performed their first ever entire Wagner program in their home
town.  Asked why they had done this he said "It is great music it trancends
everything, whatever we may think of the man".
