A great disc and one of the ones we LP nuts were always very fond of. I've
often wished someone else would try The Sea. Charles Groves does a fine
job, but I keep hearing (and thinking) that he was not of the first rank
of British conductors (though I like some of his work). It would be
interesting to hear another take on this piece just to see.

I wonder why no one hasn't. There was an LP of 3 and 4 with the Allegri on
Argo, but no mention on the disc of there being a companion issue of 1 & 2.

There was a Phantasm on Lyrita LP. Worth noting, because I hear Lyrita is
reissuing some of its old catalog. They had some other very fine Bridge
discs as well. Do did Pearl.
