Esther Sims (music student) seeks help with:
>I have a question which I am looking into:
>
>How are the career paths of Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven reflected in
>their music? What do they tell us about changing attitudes towards
>composers in this period? any help would be most appreciated!
I have this feeling that Esther wants us to do her homework for her.
But if not, start with the Encyclopedia Britannia on "Classical Music"
and then look up each of the composers separately and then go to Groves
Dictionary on Music.
Just don't copy verbatim. I saw a program on TV the other night. Now
teachers have a defense against copying. There is a website that actually
compiles all suspicious compositions posted by students and will give the
teacher a percentage comparison on the suspected homework and all materials
in its database. Hundreds of students have already been caught.
