Quatour Mosaiques, the premier string quartet group for classical era
chamber music, has just released another Mozart string quartet disc on
Astree.  This one features K 575 and 590.  It's a stunning recording of
superb performances.  Sound is crisp and dynamic.  Performances are
expressive and technically impeccable.

Mozart string quartet recordings don't come any better than this.
Buy it quickly while supplies last.  I do caution non-period instrument
fans; there's no way you could mistake these performances for modern
instrument ones.  From the first bar, the pungent period instrument string
sound is loud and clear, not as wiry as the Salomon Quartet, but highly
distinctive.
