Personally, I already consider him a major conductor.  Welser-Most has
reaped some outstanding reviews of his discography; three that stand out
in my mind are his Bruckner 5th symphony, Schmidt's Book of Seven Seals,
and one of Schmidt's symphonies.

I understand that Welser-Most has had some "people" problems in his
conducting appointments.  That tag could hamper his future, but he's
young enough to easily make the applicable corrections.
