I second the recommendation for Janos Sebestyen's Naxos recording of the
two and three-part inventions. Also very good is Angela Hewitt's traversal
on Hyperion. Although I really love Glenn Gould's quirky (heterodox,
really) reading, the first two I mentioned are good for someone getting
acquainted with these works and just good, period IMO.
