Mr. Everitt Clark...I must say that I apologize for clearly over-reacting
to the simple statement you made about Bach "finger exercises." I would
like to clarify things a bit by saying you've misjudged me. I am not
the holier than thou musical Caesar at Gaul. I just express my opinion
ssometimes with a little too much zeal and emotional backup. I want to
also say that I have attended school where nearly every musician was a
pianist. I often heard from nearly EVERY one of them that Bach's music
was trivial and really not worth listening to or playing. Add to this the
fact that many of them "verbally reduced" Bach to finger warm-up. What I
mean is they talkabout Bach as if he's nothing more than a book of Hanon
exercises. I would liek to end thius posting by saying that I am VERY
humble, much more than I'm sure you think I am. I guess my emotions just
get misinterpreted as cockiness or arogance which they are certainly not.
