I must disagree on this.
Princeton has a very good selection of bargain basement fodder for $4.99,
but Academy in NYC has an almost equal amount, priced at $3.99 a copy, and
a much better selection of new trade-ins, twice or more the amount of back
catalog used items.
I've had rather expensive trips to both in the past couple of weeks, and
found more, at equal or lower prices, at Academy. Also, Academy had in
its used racks most of the new releases I'd purchased in the previous two
months, while Princeton did not.
H/e, I must admit that Princeton is the only place I have ever seen a copy
of Sanderling's recording of Mahler's 10th, which I took 1/10th of a second
to grab off the shelf Saturday.
