I did! I have quite a few Penderecki CDs and I even listen to them
frequently .. and I usually do not stop the player during a piece:-)! I
find his works from the 6tie and 7ties quite impressive! But his style
changed a lot. He got more and more neo-romantic and I doubt that people
would need more treatment after the premiere than after listening to a
Mahler symphony!

In case you mean Steve Martland: yes a good idea! His ensemble works are
quite amazing and he would certainly be a good choice for a commission!
