Here's the story. William Jenks prefers Weil/Tafelmusik to Davis. That
tells me that he probably would not like the Goodman/Hanover recordings;
you can't find HIP recordings of Haydn symphonies as "rich" as the Goodman.
No problem with richness in Norrington, but those recordings have other
problems as, I think, Deryk pointed out. Kuijken would be a good choice
for William - HIP all the way and expressive.
