Methinks I detect a note of frustration. Hear hear, Mimi -- I find it odd
that so many intelligent people ignore what is self-evident -- that music
is personal and appeals to different people differently. I want to hear
what people find fascinating and alive -- life's too short to reflect on
bad music, bad pasta and bad Presidents!
Which reminds me -- if you're buying at Berkshire, look out for any of
the Russian Disc CDs I haven't already snapped up for my extended family.
Eshpai, Boiko, Lyatoshinksy and Svetlanov (yes -- Evgeny of that ilk) are
composers who are definitely half-full -- as opposed to half empty!
