Well, I knew the day would come.  Here I am answering my own post, just in
case anyone was curious.  I wrote:

Turns out to be no guy at all...Julia Baroni-Cavalcabo was an italian
pianist/composer, 1813-1887.  She was a pupil of Franz Wolfgang Mozart,
WAM's son.  She was friends with the Schumanns.  Robert S.  thought highly
of her playing and dedicated the Humoreske, Op. 20 to her.  End of story.
