APR recently issued a disc of Myra Hess performing Mozart piano concertos
nos. 9 & 21 supported by the University of Illinois orchestra conducted by
John Kuypers. I read a glowing review of this recording, although all the
"glow" concerned Hess, with little being said about the orchestral support
or the quality of the sound.

I'd appreciate feedback from list members familiar with the Hess recording
with particular emphasis on the orchestra and recorded sound. Thanks in
advance.
