This is a bit of a change of subject, but while in Pittsburgh the past
week, I heard on the local classical station (89.7?) some organ music by a
composer whose name sounded like Varese (or Faress?).  I have not been able
to determine the composer's actual name.

Can anyone help me?

(And while I'm asking, can anyone tell me what band and song that Chuck
Berry Mona-like, heavily tremelo-laden guitars laying down the rhythm part,
with down bending lead, featured in the Nissan Maxima commercial, is?)
