Don Satz wrote of movies with effective soundtracks:

>Twelve Angry Men, Husbands and Wives, The Mission, Aliens, Annie Hall,
>Sleepless in Seattle, Ordinary People, Fargo, Unforgiven, Enchanted April,
>Midnight Express, etc.

This amused me. My memories of seeing The Mission in the theater years ago
include the soundtrack (with its wonderful recurring oboe theme) as being
one of its highlights. The music significantly enhanced my entertainment
experience and the movie's emotional impact.

To each his/her own, I suppose.
