It has some nice moments, is well-played and recorded, but I don't really
feel Levi is a natural Mahlerian and the work doesn't flow or cohere as it
should.  I'm not a big fan of Flicka; she's OK, but was better with Abbado
20 years ago.

If you're looking to buy a Mahler 4 wait for either the Britten or
Barbirolli (or both) coming on BBC Legends.  They are leagues ahead of
Levi.
