David Stewart had the pleasure of writing the following:
>In London, I can recommend HMV on Oxford Street. Forget which one (there
>are a few) but if you go downstairs, there is a huge Classical department
>which is near as dammit sonically isolated from the rest of the place.
>Walls of Naxos I believe. Even have 5 or 6 listening posts! Don't know
>what the staff are like.
I was just there at the HMV on Oxford Street last week. The staff are
helpful, albeit, a tad poncy. Perhaps, I didn't look the part of the
regular CM buyer. But I do agree with Dave, HMV's selection is huge,
and isolated. Provides for great browsing, and shopping, without being
disturbed by the noise of upstairs. Also, the prices aren't too bad.
