I recently had a chance to see the Godfrey Reggio film "Koyaanisquatsi",
with the music by Phillip Glass, performed live by the Phillip Glass
Ensemble. it was an amazing experience. I've never experienced the
cumulative effect of art so powerfully before or since.
I am curious however if it would be as powerful in a more traditional film
setting, Koyaanisquatsi being without dialog of any sort, so the music is
at the forefront of the film anyway.
