I found a surprise in my mailbox today. It was a nice box from Berkshire
Record Outlet. But my reaction was a strange combination of shock, joy and
alarm. This was the first time I'd ever ordered from Berkshire. I "placed"
the order on March 21 (over three weeks ago).
The reason I put "placed" in quotes is because the ordering process was a
little confusing to me. As I understood the instructions, you can order
online, through e-mail. But it wasn't clear to me if I had to e-mail the
order or if the order would be e-mailed automatically. I received a copy
of the order via e-mail through the "check out" function, but I never
received any sort of confirmation, which, in my experience, is standard
operating procedure these days.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not unhappy. I blame myself for not really
following up on the order. And I got some great stuff (though not
everything I ordered was available -- bummer). But it felt a little
like flying blind.
Have other list members had this experience with Berkshire? Is there a way
to remedy this? I think next time, I'll order by phone. Also, is the 3-4
week shipping time to be expected?
Thanks, as always.
