Has anyone heard any of her music? A review of a performance of the work
that won the Pulitzer Prize yesterday, that I found online, compared it
unfavorably, though only in passing, to another work on the program, by
Perle, but I assume that says as much about the reviewer as the composer.
Sorry, I've already forgotten the name of the reviewer.

A while back, Stirling Newberry suggested that if you wanted to see a list
of truly obscure composers, just check the Pulitzer winners of the last
couple of decades. Does anyone know of such a list--for music?

Jim Tobin
