Sorry, I can't do it w/ references to the score, but on the Schnabel
(London, 1932/1935) performance recorded on Nuova Era, I find
foreshadowings of it in the variation beginning at 4'47" on the second
movement's track and the "real thing" beginning at 6'28". Your perception
may differ.
