I agree that the Turkish Rondo does seem to appear from "out of the blue".
Generally, when I discern a disconnect from a portion/movement of a work,
I make a mental adjustment and treat the portion/movement as its own work.
This maximizes my enjoyment.
I greatly enjoy all the Mozart piano sonatas except for the first four
which are fine to listen to but not very often. There was some talk
recently on this thread of how simplistic Mozart's music can be perceived,
yet provide listeners with a highly rewarding experience. I think that
perception fits the piano sonatas very well.
