I do not see why, Stravinsky, to my knowledge at least, was far from being
a great critic of Beethoven. As far has I know, no composer is prepared
do demolish a genius such has our dear Ludwig. And has far has I am
concerned, my arguments have all failed to make my point clear, so I
will retreat. Actually maybe you can help me figure out where my dislike
of certain Beethoven pieces comes from. I am a professional musician, a
chambrist at that. I enjoy very much playing the Beethoven quartets, it
is one of the things I enjoy the most, yet listening to them on a non
technical basis bores me... It is also well know by now that I do not like
the violin concerto.... Please give me your insight, I am curious.
