The only way I can figure to organize a massive collection is to get to
know Access or some other database program and set up a cataloging system,
with reference to locations (ie Shelf A, row 10 or something like that).
Then you can find CDs not listed under the composer you need, or the third
one on the disc or something.  Sounds like a big pain.  But potentially
worth it.  Besides, then your friends will come over, and you'll be looking
up the location of a disc on your computer, and they'll think you're an
even bigger freak than before.  That alone is priceless!  IMO.

Although...My current 'system' has mostly to do with 4 foot tall stacks of
things on the floor.  Oh well.
