The Rawsthorne Society has arranged for the screening of four documentary
films with scores by Alan Rawsthorne:  The City (1939), Cargo for Ardrossan
(1939), Waters of Time (1951) and The Drawings of Leonardo da Vinci (1953).
These can be seen at The British Film Institute Theatre on Wednesday 2nd
June at 2.30 pm [21 Stephen Street, between Tottenham Court Road and
Rathbone Street.]

A CD has recently been recorded dedicated to Rawsthorne's film music for
projected release in February BBC Philharmonic/Rumon Gamba:  Burma Victory,
The Captive Heart, Uncle Silas, Saraband for Dead lovers, The Dancing
Fleece, Where no Vultures Fly, The Cruel Sea, West of Zanzibar and Lease
of Life.
