Well, the .99 special at Total E seems to have ended. I just went there to
order the recalled Cortot Philips set (before it gets recalled) and it says
FREE SHIPPING. I ordered it even though the .99 speical is over. When I
mentioned ending my membership to EveryCD I should have mentioned that I was
always pleased with their service and prices. If you purchase many new CD's
it might work out to your advantage. When I priced a double Concord disc
sometime back I came up with the following prices, but that is without
postage or tax:
List price $22.97
EveryCD $17.48
Total E $18.38
CD Universe $18.47
Music Blvd. $20.49
Amazon $20.67
CD Connection $21.53
CD Now $22.49
Tower $25.98!!!
UBL not listed
Classical Choice not listed
Has anyone had any reall bad (rude, dishonest, etc.) service from any
company? Berkshire is not noted for their pleasantness but I've always
been able to return things to them with no problem. I've bought much from
EveryCD, Total E, H&B, Music Bouldevard and Classical Choice with excellent
service (others have complained about CC lately, but I've yet to have a bad
experience). What Don says about service, though, is important especially
if you want to return items or if you get an incorrect order. I always
know what I want so never ask for advice. Is there really anwhere that has
employees who know anything? Thirty years ago I gladly paid full price to
hear the records in advance and pick the brains of knowledgable people in
record shops, but I suspect that is a thing of the past.
