His live performance with Argerich at Carnegie Hall to mark his 50th
anniversary as a performer is vivid and intense.  I think it is certainly
the finest performance bar none either performer has committed to record of
the Franck sonata.  His recordings of 20th century composers I have found
consistently fine.
