I was introduced to most of the Beethoven piano sonatas by Roberts as well.
I enjoyed his recordings very much, and I will always have a fondness for
them. Over time, I came to realize that the Nimbus piano sound was more
significant to me than Robert's performances. But, there's something
about that first "exposure" to a work which you never forget.

I trust that Steven has those feelings about the Roberts set and will seek
out other interpretations that he might find highly enlightening.
